The Biology Department of Linfield College is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, to begin fall semester, 2019. A typical teaching load consists of the following: one (candidate's choice) from among the following Core Courses: Molecular Cell Biology, Evolution, or Genetics; a majors elective course with laboratory in the candidate's area of expertise; one semester of Introductory Biology for biology and health sciences-related majors; and a non-majors course (no laboratory) in area of specialty. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to, and potential for, developing a vigorous research program with undergraduates. We are open to any research program that expands the research expertise and opportunities in our department in any animal system, ranging in focus from the cellular to whole organism level. A Ph.D. in biology or a related field is required; post-doctoral experience is preferred.
