Adjunct Instructor - Clinical

The School of Nursing is seeking Adjunct Clinical Instructors – with strong clinical skills to instruct and supervise students during their clinical rotations beginning Spring semester, February 8, 2016.   Desired applicants are those who are passionate about educating nursing students and have a desire to make an impact on their education and future BSN nurses.  Applications will be accepted until December 18, 2015.   Screening of applications begins immediately. 


Adjunct Instructors generally teach a rotation that is scheduled either during the day, evening, and sometimes night shift hours. Most clinical sites are in the Portland metropolitan.  Additional clinical partners are located in Salem, OR and Vancouver, WA.

Potential teaching assignments Spring 2016 include:

  • Acute medical-surgical on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 
  • Acute perinatal (labor & delivery, post-partum and newborn) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Nursing Fundamentals on Wednesdays and Fridays
  • Chronic Care on Thursdays and Fridays  

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered Oregon R.N. license required, Washington license required for some assignments
  • Two years of current nursing practice experience.
  • BSN required
  • MSN in nursing preferred
