Assistant Professor Biology

The Biology Department of Linfield College is searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2017. We seek an individual whose research agenda adds to the breadth of existing research in our department, and who can be productive in a small college working with undergraduate students. The successful applicant will teach four courses with labs annually. The successful applicant will teach four courses with labs annually. We seek candidates who can teach and contribute to: (i) Principles of Biology (BIOL 210 or 211), our year-long introductory majors course; (ii) one or more of our Biology core curriculum courses including Genetics (BIOL 270), Evolution (BIOL 450), and Cell Biology (BIOL 400); (iii) Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BIOL 441), an upper-division elective course; and (iv) either an elective course in the candidate's area of expertise or a non-major's course.

QUALIFICATIONS:                  

A Ph.D. in biology or a related field is required; post-doctoral experience is preferred.
