Online Adjunct Instructor - Anthropology

Linfield's Online and Continuing Education Department is seeking an adjunct faculty member for Summer Term that starts on June 19, 2017 to teach ANTH/ENVS 203.  This 4-credit course, explores social scientific findings and ways of understanding humanity's place in nature and our current ecological predicament; causes and consequences (environmental, demographic, economic, political, and cultural) of humankind's transition from food foraging to Neolithic and now industrial adaptive strategies; scientific, policy and cultural implications and aspects of these changes and interactions through case studies at global, regional and local scales.  A review of applications will begin immediately.  The position will close on February 17, 2017

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D. In Anthropology (specialty in Environmental or Ecological Anthropology preferred)
• Demonstrated excellence teaching online, including use of student-centered pedagogies
• Experience teaching in higher education 
• Online teaching experience preferred
