Online Adjunct Instructor - Crime, Deviance, and Social Control
Linfield College's Online and Continuing Education is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Crime, Deviance, and Social Control for Fall 2019. This 4-credit course is a sociological approach to the study of crime and deviance with an emphasis on the social construction of crime/deviance, social causes of criminal/deviant behavior, and mechanisms used to control and punish those who break laws and violate social norms. Includes an exploration of issues such as violent behavior, white- and blue-collar crime, drug use, gangs, and disparities in the criminal justice system.
Minimum Qualification:
- PhD in Sociology
- Research/teaching background in criminology or deviance preferred
- Experience teaching in higher education
- Online teaching experience highly desirable
