Visiting Information Literacy Librarian

Linfield College, a comprehensive college that combines a strong emphasis on the liberal arts with a commitment to professional and interdisciplinary programs, invites applications for a Full-time Visiting Librarian position in Libraries & Media Services beginning August 1, 2020. The Visiting Information Literacy Librarian supports the library's mission as "a teaching library serving Linfield students, faculty, and staff by providing and encouraging access to the intellectual resources necessary for teaching, learning and scholarly achievement in the liberal arts".  Linfield Librarians enjoy full faculty status and teach integrated information literacy across the curriculum.  The Visiting Information Literacy Librarian will lead efforts to continue and improve instruction services for faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications include 1) American Library Association accredited Master's degree; 2) evidence of excellence in teaching (undergraduate teaching experience highly desirable); 3) demonstrated potential for success in scholarly professional achievement and department/college service; 4) ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a small college setting; and 5) demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Desirable qualifications include experience mentoring undergraduate students, including first generation students, and evidence of relevant library experience.
