Visiting Senior Scholar in Environmental Policy and Sustainability

Linfield College's Environmental Studies Program is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Senior Scholar in Environmental Policy and Sustainability to join our department beginning July 1, 2015 and help lead and collaboratively develop the policy track. Appointment will be a for a fixed faculty/administrator position renewable for up to three years with the potential for renewal contingent upon funding and performance. Rank commensurate with experience.

Help develop and deliver an environmental policy curriculum to strengthen the environmental studies program at a small liberal arts college.Help build environmental policy program in the context of an environmental studies major.Develop and teach courses in environmental policy and sustainability.Work collaboratively with the Chair of Environmental Studies and the Environmental Studies Committee.Support Office of Sustainability.


PhD in appropriate field with demonstrated professional achievement5+ years employment experience in academic setting.Experience with academic program building and curriculum development.Administrative experience preferred.Experience creating, influencing, and/or implementing policy or sustainability.Preference for background relevant to understanding Pacific Northwest ecosystems.Interdisciplinary background, skills, experience.Demonstrated experience working with undergraduate students inside and outside of the classroom.
